Easter Adventure – 8 days tour

Eight days adventure tour to the scarce Vest and North of Iceland, including vast landscape, beautiful waterfalls, small fishing towns and many placea off the beaten track. April 21st. to April 28th.

Day 1.
Departure on Easter Sunday, April 21st. Hvalfjörður (Whale bay) and Borgarfjörður. Deildartunguhver hot springs and Hraunfossar waterfalls. Hotel in the area.

Day 2.
Snæfellsnes peninsula. We will visit places that we usually can not in regular tours, Snæfellsnes glacier, Sönghellir (song cave), were the guide will sign “Ave Maria” by Franz Schubert :). Dinner and hotel in Stykkishólmur, the biggest town in the area and the “scallop capital”.

Day 3.
Ferry from Stykkishólmur across the bay to Brjánslækur. Short stop in Flatey, historical island in Breiðafjörður bay. Látrabjarg, the biggest cliffs in Iceland, Rauðisandur beach and to Patreksfjörður fishing village for dinner and hotel.

Day 4.
Continue the Vest fjords to Isafjörður the biggest town in the Vest fjords. Dynjandi the most beautiful waterfall in Iceland according to the locals, small fishing villages and to dinner in Isafjörður and maybe a bit of a “bar crawling”.

Day 5.
We drive further through the scarce Vest fjords to Holmavik and further to the small village Djúpavík. “Strandir” which this area is usually called is famous for it´s “Sorcery & Witchcraft”. Beautiful and very remote area.

Day 6.
From Strandir we drive to the capital in the north, Akureyri. Along the way we stop in various interesting places and have dinner and overnight in Akureyri. Hot tubs, infrared sauna that warms you up from the inside.

Day 7.
Lake Myvatn with it´s many interesting stops all around the lake, Dettifoss the most volumnious waaterfall in Iceland and Europe. Husavik geosea hot tubs before we head back to Akureyri for dinner and hotel.

Day 8.
Drive back to Reykjavik with varoius stops on the way. Arrival in Reykjavik estimated around 7 p.m.

This is a tour for the experienced traveller, seeing places off the beaten track.

Tour Details

Included: Fully Guided Tour – English Speaking. Max 6 passengers. Driver guide, fuel, taxes and comfortable mini van for eight days. Hotel with breakfast seven nights. 2 course dinner for sevven days and one complimentary lunch.
Not included: lunch except for the complimentary one, drinks except water.

Note: Dress according to season, good coat, hat, gloves, good walking shoes.
