Þórsmörk is a paradise for hikers and one end of the famous hiking trail Laugarvegur. The other end is in Landmannalaugar.
This beautiful area behind the volcano Eyjafjallajokull that erupted in 2010 is hard to reach as several rivers have to be crosses. In Þórsmörk we stop for about 6 hours, which is enough time to explore the area and hike into the mountains.
